As someone who’s preparing for this future down the line, it was interesting and helpful to read this. I didn’t even know that there was a term for it. Sometimes I feel like we’re almost invisible, at least in the window of popular or mainstream culture. Because everybody has family, or everybody has a circle of friends, right? *sighs* It’s just nice to know I’m not the only one in this boat.
