Closing in on 30 and the end of my youth, I have a lot of regrets, and not traveling more is definitely one of them. I’d’ve spent my entire life overseas, if I could have.
Even now, there’s a part of my brain that wants to go get my bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials, so I can go teach at the American School of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia — and I have no idea why my brain’s focused on Mongolia, but it has.
But, I guess depression and poverty will end up stripping those dreams away from you. Hopefully, I’ll get to travel someday. But it won’t be the same magic as being able to travel as a young person, still full of potential and possibility.
