I know a lot of my fellow left-leaning folks might disagree with me on this one (and that’s fine), but I don’t want Trump walking out of this with a pardon, or, hell, with his head on his shoulders.
18 USC 2381 makes it perfectly clear. “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death.”
While I probably won’t see him (and McConnell and Ryan, and all of the other Congressional Republicans who deserve it) kneeling at a guillotine on the foot of the Lincoln Memorial, they deserve to die for the crimes they have committed against this country. For the crimes they’ve wrought against humanity.
I don’t know why leftists nowadays are so devoted to a bloodless revolution. God knows that’s not how we won our freedom in the past.
