I love this juxtaposition — and your example (delightfully) reminds me of one of my favorite songs — Amanda Palmer’s “Trout Heart Replica”.
I always have to laugh when people say that Amanda wrote it about visiting a trout farm. That may very well be true, but it’s not entirely about the trout. :)
I’m excited to give this a try. It’s a brilliant and straightforward construction method — a relatively easy way for people to add more depth, more thought, more oomph to their poems.
