I think I focus more on the beginner aspect because it’s a teacher thing — but you’re right: it’s definitely frustrating to see people who deliberately resist growing.

I was on AllPoetry during my high school years and I saw all types. But most frustrating were the people who got angry at any critique, any indication that something was unclear or something could be improved. Especially those of them who were convinced that they were the best damn poets in the world.

Oh, I could write a whole ton about AllPoetry.

And while I haven’t been courageous enough to share my oldest and worst stuff on Medium, it’s all still there on the dark corners of the internet if you know where to look. :)
