10 Things You Might Not Know About Me
#1 — I’ve been fat my whole life.
I weighed 50 pounds when I was a year old. My Mom told me about all the time she spent trying to assure doctors that she didn’t overfeed me. But I was fat, even back then and, despite my attempts to battle it back, I’m pretty sure that it’s something that’s born into my bones. So, while I definitely have picked up some maladaptive eating issues along the way, it didn’t start with that. Which makes trying to figure out this whole “how to make myself skinny” thing a whole lot harder.
#2 — I Love the Theatre, Even if I don’t have all that much experience.
I went to a performing arts-oriented elementary school, which gave me the opportunity to be in a handful of productions as a kid. But that dropped away after the fifth grade, and I wasn’t in the show that I considered to be my first show until the fall of my senior year of high school — and I fell back in love right away.
There’s no part of the theatre experience that I don’t like — from being on stage, to working stage crew, to stage managing, to writing and workshopping scripts. I love all of it! And I wish that I had more opportunities to do it, and that I could do it professionally…
