It’s all a vain human attempt to defy the second law of thermodynamics. No matter how much you mow the lawn or dust the cupboards, entropy will always win out, the heat death of the universe is going to happen, and so many people will have spent so much of their time in this universe doing housework.

(Yeah, I know, the STEM people want me to stop misappropriating their precise science-y terms and infusing it with my touchy-feely Humanities bullshit. Bully for them.)
