As part of the 60 Months to the World challenge that I’ve undertaken, I’m starting to save money. As someone who spent his entire childhood without a great deal of cash, and most of his adult life going from paycheck to paycheck to pawn shop to paycheck, this is a novel concept.

I’ve tried saving money before, and it’s never worked. Whatever little I’d managed to stash away on payday would, undoubtedly, be needed before the end of the month. So all of my good-intentioned savings, all of my change roundups that various banks and apps had stashed away for me, was moved back into checking account and spent.

But, I’m finally at the most secure place I’ve ever been in my life. I think that I can get away with stashing some money away. Not only that, I need to start saving, if I’m planning on growing old someday.

But I’m not focusing on that, right now. I’m focusing on June 1, 2023. Reno International Airport. Me and the Sky.
