Sometimes, There is No Blog Post
Over the last few days, it seems like I’ve read a disproportionately large number of articles about generating topics for blog posts. It’s all been good advice. I’ve even used some of it before.
But, sometimes, the blog post isn’t going to happen.
I’ve been sitting at my computer for a little over an hour now. It’s midnight. I’ve been surfing through Twitter and Facebook. I even popped over to Quora. That’s usually a good tip for generating blog posts — spend some time answering questions on Quora, and then blow up an answer into a blog post.
I answered some questions, but they really aren’t the kind of things that make good blog posts. Or, at least, good blog posts for me.

No, I don’t think that the rest of her cast and crew deserved to lose their jobs. (I would so watch Dan on ABC, so there’s an idea!)
Writing poetry in the third person is exactly what it sounds like: instead of using the first person or second person pronouns, you use the third person. That was their question, though I think they were looking for something a bit more in depth.
On my deathbed, there are two poems that I’d probably recite: either Mythopoeia by J.R.R. Tolkien, or The Old Astronomer…
