Thank you for taking a chance on my poetry! It means a lot.
Some of my posts lately have been about how poetry can be difficult to read. My biggest suggestion: start listening to contemporary poetry. I think it makes it easier than trying to struggle, especially with most of the stuff I’m writing recently, which is in an older form.
The Button Poetry channel on Youtube is a great place to start. I also have a recent post where I highlight some of my favorite more modern poems, along with videos of them. You might find one you like there, and that can give you a direction to go.
