This is an interesting post and, honestly, I’m going to have to percolate on it a bit.

My initial thought though: I don’t think there’s ever a thing as too much advice, especially when it comes to writing.

An optimistic way to frame this is that we’re each individuals on our own journeys, and we all learn different ways to frame the things we learn and even if you read the same thing framed 20 different ways, one of them might finally click for you.

The pessimistic way to frame it, is that we become really good at detecting bullshit and filtering out bad advice when we come across it. There are some very interesting and entertaining posts on this platform; they’re great reads. Just not very good advice.

Also, I don’t think we’re all writing for people who are on Medium professionally. I have to imagine that there are some people who are here casually, some people who are just readers, some people who are just starting out, who can find value in my BS. But what do I know? :) — Zx
