Why is Drinking Water So Hard?
I mean, we’re supposed to stay hydrated.
Those of you who’ve been following me for a while know that I love Diet Coke. I mean, seriously love Diet Coke.
And why wouldn’t I? It’s pretty much the perfect drink. It tastes great, it has that perfect bite of carbonation, and, even more importantly, it has zero calories.
No calories at all. It’s perfectly healthy.
Okay, maybe I’m not that full of crap, but at least it’s healthier than full-calorie, full-sugar soda, right? And it has the life-sustaining caffeine, which seems to be the only thing that can cut through my fatigue these days and give me at least a little bit of energy.
But, the thing is, when you live with a persnickety old lady who’s been hospitalized for not drinking enough water, who has to be constantly reminded to drink more water, you begin to feel like a hypocrite when you’re not drinking that much of it yourself.
