I am not a morning person.

Well, I am a morning person in the sense that I like to stay awake through the early hours of the morning, and then sleep until noon. But I’m not a waking up around dawn kind of person.

But today I actually set an alarm and woke up at the ungodly hour of 10:15 in the morning.

Stop laughing. I work from home. I get to set my own hours, mostly. But today, I get to chat with one of my favorite people in the world, one of the many that I haven’t had the chance to meet before: Mignon Fogarty, alias Grammar Girl.

So got up, did some Medium question, pulled together some Ninja Questions for GG, and generally got things ready for our 12N chat. I also got in a quick 15 minutes with my manuscript, which is always nice.

The chat went very well. Lots to talk about with Grammar Girl, and it’s always fun to learn some new things about this language that we love. Also, she sells sentence-diagramming…
